Professor Meis Moukayed, Professor of Health and Life Sciences at the American University in Dubai (AUD), delivered a keynote speech at the World Health Summit (WHS) Academic Alliance and The Lancet Commission Symposium on "Academic Responsibility in a Fragmenting World," hosted under the auspices of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) in Dubai.

The high-profile international gathering brought together health leaders, researchers, policymakers, and academic experts to advance dialogue on equitable, evidence-based health systems and shared global responsibility.
In her keynote address, Dr. Moukayed outlined UAE public health gaps, needs, and opportunities, and emphasized the role of health educators in facilitating health education that equitably serves and engages the community.

The symposium formed part of a landmark global engagement convened under the World Health Summit Academic Alliance and The Lancet Commission on Academic Responsibility, reinforcing the critical role of academia in addressing contemporary global health challenges.
