AUD Biology students recently took part in Healthcare Simulation Week at Leader Healthcare, a field experience that brought classroom learning into realistic, hands-on healthcare settings.

Across a series of interactive stations, students explored CPR, first-aid response, allergy management, anatomy, and a range of clinical scenarios. The experience allowed them to apply biological knowledge, communicate under pressure, and make informed decisions in a safe, controlled environment. AUD students also secured wins across several stations in the competition, including CPR, first-aid response, and clinical scenarios.

These experiences reflect AUD’s broader focus on immersive learning to prepare students for the evolving healthcare landscape. They complement opportunities such as AUD’s Biology VR lab, helping students strengthen analytical thinking, clinical reasoning, teamwork, and confidence before entering professional environments.

The visit also highlighted the value of meaningful collaboration between academia and industry. AUD and Leader Healthcare plan to continue the partnership through future projects that connect students with innovation, practice, and real-world healthcare challenges.
