AUD Hosts First Edition of Undergraduate STEM Research Competition

On April 16, 2025, the American University in Dubai proudly hosted the First Edition of the Undergraduate STEM Research Competition, organized by the Department of Biological and Physical Sciences within the School of Arts and Sciences.

This vibrant, UAE-wide event brought together over 200 attendees from universities across the country, providing a platform for undergraduate students to present innovative STEM research, engage in meaningful discussions, and connect with faculty, peers, and industry experts.

Participants showcased their work through poster presentations across three key themes:

  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Biological and Physical Sciences for Innovation
  • Forensics and the Environment

The competition highlighted the students' passion, creativity, and commitment to solving real-world challenges through science and research. The atmosphere throughout the event was filled with energy and enthusiasm, as students demonstrated their findings and interacted with a panel of expert judges.

This initiative reflects AUD’s commitment to experiential learning, research excellence, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration at the undergraduate level.

A special thank you goes out to all faculty members, students, volunteers, and especially our esteemed judges for their time, support, and invaluable feedback that helped make this first edition a resounding success.
