The American University in Dubai (AUD) has been awarded an international Joint White Paper Research Grant under the TIEC University Partnership Accelerator, in collaboration with Mayo Clinic (U.S.).
The grant supports a joint project titled “Toward a Dialysis-Free Future: A US–UAE Collaboration to Innovate Polycystic Kidney Disease Management,” which aims to develop best-practice recommendations to improve patient outcomes and advance global healthcare innovation.
Co-led by Dr. Muriel Tahtouh Zaatar, Chair of the Department of Biological and Physical Sciences at AUD, and Dr. Fouad Chebib, Director of the PKD Center of Excellence and Research Chair of Nephrology & Hypertension at Mayo Clinic, the study will explore innovative solutions to enhance the quality of life for patients with kidney disease.
Through this collaboration, AUD strengthens its global research footprint and its commitment to advancing life-changing healthcare outcomes.
