Dr. Hanin AL Jebawy joined the American University in Dubai (AUD) as an assistant professor of Mathematics in January 2023. She earned her PhD in applied mathematics from the University of Technology of Compiegne in France in 2020 and worked there for two years as a postdoctoral researcher and mathematics instructor. Before that, she served as an adjunct instructor at the Lebanese International University between 2018 and 2020, and a visiting lecturer at the Lebanese University.
Her doctoral dissertation, titled " On Thermo-acoustic and Photo-acoustic Imaging of Small Absorbers” is dedicated to the study of inverse problems and their applications to medical imaging, and her primary research interest include inverse problems, photo-acoustic imaging, and semi-linear elliptic equations.
Dr Hanin has several publications in her domain, and some of her selected ones include:

Outside academia, Dr Hanin was an official member of the Lebanese delegation to the Conference of Parties (COP28) that was hosted in Dubai in 2023 and a member of the MENA Youth Network.
