On March 30, 2022 the International and Middle Eastern Studies Department organized the Spring 2022 Workshop: "Re-thinking the Indian Ocean. Interconnections and Cross fertilizations."
The workshop was organized in collaboration with the Department of History and Cultures at the University of Bologna, Italy, within the framework of a MoU signed between IMES-AUD and the Department of History and Cultures at the University of Bologna in Fall 2021.
The workshop hosted Dr. Giuseppe Cecere and Dr. Karin Pallaver from the University of Bologna and Ahmed al-Maazmi (Ph.D candidate, Princeton University).
The AUD panel was coordinated by Dr. Omar Bortolazzi, Graduate Program Director of the Master of Arts in International Affairs & Associate Professor of Political Science and Dr. Farid Al-Salim, Professor of Middle Eastern Studies.
