Indelible Evenings: On Acedia and Creative Will?

Prof. Claude Barbre - Psychotherapist/Poet/Author/Full Professor, The Chicago School of Professional Psychology

Start Tue, Jan 26
End Tue, Jan 26

Distinguished Professor Claude Barbre will be joining us from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology to discuss the concept of acedia and the recovery from it through creative will. Acedia, a depressive mental state of carelessness and inactivity, rendering it an escape from reality in all its forms. We have had the honor of featuring Professor Barbre's ideas on acedia in the essay he shared with Indelible's latest issue on "Escapism", and he will be happy to answer any questions or comments about it.
