Dr. Carly Brown is an author, poet, and teacher based in Edinburgh, Scotland. She is a winner of Scotland’s National Poetry Slam. and represented Scotland at the World Series of Slam Poetry in Paris where she ranked 4th in the world. She has also performed at dozens of festivals and events including Glastonbury Festival, StAnza Poetry Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe. She is also co-creator of bestselling children’s picture book, I Love St Andrews, which explores the quirky history and colorful traditions of the town. And author of poetry pamphlets Grown Up Poetry Needs to Leave Me Alone, Anastasia, Look in the Mirror. Dr. Brown is currently working on a historical novel set during the Revolutionary War, which was long-listed for the 2019 Mslexia Novel Award. Carly also volunteers as a tour guide/historical re-enactor at The Georgian House.
