The class of Principles of Advertising and Integrated Marketing Communications at SBA organized an iftar for 120 unsung heroes from the AUD Community during the holy month of Ramadan. The iftar was part of a class project that aimed to provide the students with practical experience in event management and marketing while also contributing to a charitable cause.
Dr. Mohammad Obeidat, Chair of the Department of Marketing & Associate Professor of Marketing, expressed his satisfaction with the students' performance, saying that he had decided to shift the class project from theoretical to practical this semester to prepare the students for the real world. He commended the students for their exemplary demonstration of solidarity and giving, as well as their remarkable creative and managerial abilities in organizing and executing the charitable iftar.
According to Dr. Obeidat, the ultimate goal of the class project was to provide the students with practical experience and prepare them for the challenges of the real world, and the students' success in organizing the iftar proved that they had gained valuable skills that would benefit them in their future careers.
The initiative is highly commendable as it not only provided support to the unsung heroes in the AUD community during Ramadan but also provided an opportunity for the students to gain practical experience in event management and marketing. Such initiatives foster a sense of social responsibility among students and prepare them to become well-rounded individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to contribute positively to society.
