The American University in Dubai's Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center (AEIC) is proud to share the success of Solaris Solutions, founded by AUD alumni Ghaith Al Bastanli. Beginning as an Engineering Capstone project, Solaris developed significantly from 2020 to 2023 with the goal of facilitating electricity everywhere. With investments amounting to over AED 116,000 from the Dubai government and private investors, the company made substantial strides. It now supplies its innovative products to the UAE Ministry of Defense, has expanded into various markets across Levant, Africa, the GCC, and several online platforms. With ambitious plans to significantly increase sales in the coming months, onboarding AUD interns, and becoming an AEIC partner, Solaris stands as a beacon of the innovative and entrepreneurial excellence that AEIC encourages and nurtures.
