The American University in Dubai (AUD) hosted a record-breaking Alumni Festival on Saturday, November 22, bringing together alumni, students, faculty, staff, and guests for an afternoon of celebration, connection, and community spirit.

The festival welcomed more than 500 attendees, reflecting the strong engagement and loyalty of AUD’s graduate community. Alumni reconnected with old friends, celebrated achievements, and shared in the vibrant spirit of the university. This impressive turnout highlights the importance of the Alumni Festival as a key annual event that strengthens bonds across generations and showcases the university’s lasting impact on its community.

A highlight of this year’s festival was the showcase of alumni entrepreneurship. Of the 12 vendors present, 7 were alumni-owned businesses, demonstrating the lasting impact of AUD’s programs and the graduates’ continued connection to the university. This aligns with AUD’s broader mission of preparing graduates who are not only career-ready but also innovators and business leaders. In fact, 8% of AUD graduates become entrepreneurs, launching ventures that create jobs and contribute to the economy.

The afternoon offered a variety of activities for attendees of all ages, including food trucks, padel games, football, volleyball, tennis, board games, a game truck, and children’s activities. Families and friends also joined, creating a relaxed and enjoyable environment for everyone.
