AUD student earns International Relations recognition at International Olympiad for Financial Security

Abdulla Al Darwish, an International Studies student in the School of Arts and Sciences at the American University in Dubai (AUD), achieved notable success at the 2025 International Presidential Olympiad for Financial Security in Krasnoyarsk, Russia.

Representing both the UAE and AUD, Abdulla earned second place in the International Relations category, a remarkable result in the UAE’s first-ever participation. The Olympiad brought together 600 finalists from more than 40 countries, selected from nearly six million applicants competing in International Relations, Law, Economics, and Information Security.

Abdulla's participation underscores his commitment to advancing international cooperation and dialogue.

“It was a privilege to represent my university and my country on such a global platform,”
said Abdulla.
“The Olympiad deepened my understanding of international relations and the importance of cross-cultural collaboration.”

The International Presidential Olympiad promotes research, cultural exchange, and partnerships between educational institutions and government bodies worldwide.
