The American University in Dubai (AUD) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), establishing a partnership aimed at advancing accounting and finance education and empowering students with professional opportunities.
Through this collaboration, AUD students and faculty will gain access to IMA’s global resources, including discounted Certified Management Accountant (CMA) exam fees, scholarships for high-achieving students, and opportunities for faculty members to pursue professional certification. In addition, the partnership positions AUD as a recognized course provider for CMA preparatory programs, while also securing the University’s presence on IMA’s global and regional platforms, further elevating AUD’s reputation for academic excellence. In addition, AUD and IMA will work together on joint events, training sessions, and initiatives designed to equip students and faculty with cutting-edge knowledge and industry connections.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Kyle Long, President of the American University in Dubai and Ahmad Mkhallati, Senior Director, IMA Middle East, India & Africa Operations, as we all as members of the School of Business, including Dr. Assaad Farah, Interim Provost and Chief Academic Officer, Dean of the School of Business; Dr. Nadia Sbei Trabelsi, Chair of the Department of Economics, Finance, and Accounting and Associate Professor of Accounting; and Dr. Wissam El Khoury, Associate Dean.
This agreement reflects AUD’s mission to equip students with real-world skills, internationally recognized certifications, and meaningful professional pathways.
