The American University in Dubai (AUD), through its Center for Research, Innovation, and Design (CRID), received the Grand Entrance Award at the Autodesk Learning Partner Summit, held 8–9 October 2026 in Istanbul, Türkiye. The award recognized AUD’s achievements in faculty and student certification during its first year as an Autodesk Authorized Academic Partner.
During this period, more than 11 Autodesk Certified Instructors and 144 students earned Autodesk certifications across multiple software applications. Alex I. Albani, Professor of Architecture, initiated and led the partnership effort with support from Dr. Georges Kachaamy, Director of CRID and Professor of Architecture.

Through this partnership, AUD faculty benefit from ongoing professional development, access to Autodesk’s latest learning resources, and internationally recognized instructor credentials. Students have opportunities to earn industry-recognized certifications and develop practical skills that prepare them for professional practice.
