Dalin Abubaker, an AUD Interior Design student and now alumna, has accomplished a remarkable achievement of securing ‘Second place worldwide’ in the prestigious Accor Hotels Design Awards 2023 for her work on the Mercure Hotels Brand - ADA. This international competition featured hundreds of submissions from university students worldwide. Dalin not only made it to the top 10 finalists globally but also advanced to the top 3 finalists/winners, ultimately securing the second-place award.

Dalin had the honor of attending the Awards Ceremony in Paris in September 2023, courtesy of an invitation from the Accor Hotels Group. Her project, Jalees, was showcased at the Maison & Objet International Exhibition and received numerous accolades from both the jury and the audience. This outstanding project was developed during the IDES 375 F&B Outlet Design course, under the mentorship of Professor Lambri.
