AUD and Penn State partner to promote collaborative engineering education and research

The American University in Dubai’s (AUD) School of Engineering has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Pennsylvania State University’s College of Engineering, to advancing academic excellence, research collaboration, and global engagement in the field of engineering.

The MoU encompassing professional training programs, faculty and scholar exchanges, joint research and educational initiatives, as well as the sharing of scientific materials and publications. The partnership will also support the development of joint seminars, workshops, and academic events designed to enrich student learning experiences and strengthen institutional ties.

The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from both universities. The Penn State delegation included Dr. Tonya Peeples, Dean of the College of Engineering; Dr. Sabine Klahr, Vice Provost for Global Engagement; Mr. Salim Mousallam, Board Member and Global Advisory Council representative, and GE Aerospace Regional Vice President; as well as other distinguished members of Penn State’s leadership team. and Representing the American University in Dubai were Dr. Kyle Long, President; Dr. Asaad Farah, Interim Provost and Chief Academic Officer; Dr. Wael Bazzi, Dean of the School of Engineering.

This partnership reflects both institutions’ shared vision of preparing globally minded engineers equipped to address challenges, fostering innovation, advancing engineering education, and promoting international collaboration.
