Suleiman Hamdan

Director of Institutional Effectiveness


Before joining AUD in August 2014, Dr. Hamdan served for 25 years as an Education Consultant with the Wayne Regional Educational Service Agency (Wayne RESA) in Michigan, USA. In this capacity, he facilitated and implemented school improvement initiatives, North Central Association-Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA-CASI) accreditation, teacher professional development, and educational program compliance within 43 Michigan communities that serve a population of approximately 290,000 students.

In addition to serving schools in Michigan, he has been an active Lead Evaluator with the AdvancED International Services division since 2010, where he led the NCA-CASI accreditation of schools in countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Switzerland. He has been a frequent presenter at various international conferences where he presented on variety of topics related to effective school improvement, accreditation and best practices in teaching and learning. He served as an adjunct faculty as well since 2001 at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, where he taught bilingual education and sociolinguistics.
