Imad Y. Hoballah

Dr. Imad Hoballah joined AUD on March 12, 2017 with extensive public, private, and academic experience. He has solid academic experience in graduate and undergraduate programs at universities in the US (Syracuse University and Tulsa University) and as a lecturer in Lebanon at the American University of Beirut (AUB), The Lebanese American University (LAU), and Le Centre National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM).

He has strong consultancy and advisory experience as the Chairman and CEO, ICTTT Consulting, Chairman of the Advisory Committee for Teralight Gateway Holdings Inc. (TGHI), and Chairman for the Advisory Committee of the MLI Group, Survivability Solutions.
 
Dr. Hoballah has very extensive public services experience as the Chairman and CEO of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) in Lebanon for over 5 years, and as the Head of the Telecom Technologies Unit for over 8 years. 
 
Dr. Hoballah served as the CEO of OMNIX Media Networks (UAE), and has held several executive and leadership positions at Lucent Technologies and AT&T Bell Laboratories in Africa, the Middle East, and the US including as COO & EVP for Services & Program Management, MEA Region, and in the areas of Sales, Services and Software, Product Management, Data Networking, Data Services, Information Systems, Operations Management Systems and Operations Systems Architecture.
 
Dr. Hoballah led the Lebanese National Committee for the Transition to Digital TV, served on National and Regional Committees on Security, Cyber Security and Safety, chaired several committees and teams at the International telecommunications Union (ITU), chaired the "Arab Regulators Network for ICT (AREGNET)", and served as Vice Chairman of the "Arab Spectrum Management Group (ASMG)".
 
Dr. Hoballah represented Lebanon in the "ITU”, the "Government Advisory Committee” of ICANN, and the "Arab Management Advisory Group of the Internet Governance Forum", and the "Middle East Strategy Working Group (MESWG), ICANN". Dr. Hoballah was elected as VP, Executive Committee of the “Arab Infrastructure Regulatory Forum (AIRF)”.
 
Dr. Hoballah has also served on the Board of several corporations. He  enjoys reading, writing, swimming, walking and nature.
