Dr. Jessica Tsimprea Maluch joined the AUD community as a full time faculty member in September 2018 in the School of Education.
She began her career as a middle school Language Arts teacher before moving to the Middle East to teach English and work in educational programming. After attending Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she earned her Ed.M., she shifted her focus to bilingualism, second language acquisition, and assessment. During her doctorate studies at Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany, she also worked to measure and monitor the German Educational Standards in middle and early secondary schools.
Her current research interests include multilingualism, language acquisition, and assessment. When she is not teaching and researching, she enjoys venturing into the outdoors with her family and sailing.
