Elissar Toufaily is an associate professor of marketing at the American University in Dubai and is a visiting professor at the graduate school of University Laval in Quebec-Canada, where she worked for 5 years as a professor before joining AUD. With a Ph.D. and an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Quebec in Montreal, and an M.Sc. in finance, she has a background in digital marketing, multichannel retailing, applied statistics, and relationship marketing. Her research focuses on the adoption of innovations, trust in the case of technology- mediated- transactions, e-service quality in the services industries and on the impact of disintermediation, decentralization and digitization of economic transactions on consumers and organizations.
Dr. Toufaily has published dozens of scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings and research papers and has received different research grants and awards. She has supervised a dozen of M.Sc. thesis and MBA essays on a variety of topics related to marketing in the digital economy. Currently, she is supervising a doctoral dissertation on omnichannel integration quality in the banking industry.
