Herman Miller Design Competition
AUD Interior Design students take part in prestigious design competition.
17/09/2017
Herman Miller, in collaboration with Perkins and Will, AAID and Pallavi Dean Interiors, invites undergraduate Interior Design students to participate in one of the most coveted competitions yet.
This project centers on the design of a contemporary classroom space. This is an opportunity to showcase students’ work under professional guidance and learn the ropes of the real-world setting.
Dr Dolly Dauo from APID will be a 3rd party mentor to the students and on hand to advise them on their projects.

The competition aims to:
-          Build an understanding of learning spaces user experiences met and unmet needs.
-          Utilize evidence-based design to ground the design decisions in research.
-          Redesign the space based on student-generated research findings and respond to the new ways of using the classroom by students with special attention to the design of innovative setting solutions.
-          Design a space that contributes to an enhanced student/teacher experience.

The top 3 winners will be offered an internship with one of the regional leading Architecture firms.
