Over the past few years, the economic downturn affecting the region has resulted in an increased number of students at risk of dropping out from the university due to financial distress.
The event has been planned to tackle this issue by using the funds raised to assist students in financial distress and to address a cultural need by raising awareness of our heritage and Arab culture. Such an event represents a great opportunity to connect cultures and bridge the West with the East and expose our youth to our heritage.
Moreover, the university is currently working on developing an endowment fund that will be used to assist students and allow them to pursue their quest for a good education amid financial concerns and challenges, thus the funds raised from this event will provide the required funds to kick start the fund.
