ACCREDITATION REQUIREMENTS
The following are the accreditation requirements for institutional effectivness and quality assurance of the American University in Dubai.
UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research –Commission for Academic Accreditation (MOHESR-CAA)
The American University in Dubai is officially licensed and accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research-Commission for Academic Accreditation (MOHESR-CAA). Under the MOHESR-CAA requirements, the AUD has demonstrated that it has a mission that is appropriate to higher education and possess the governance structure, by-laws, regulations, policies and procedures, physical and financial resources, academic programs, faculty and other personnel, and quality assurance measures to fulfill its mission. The MOHESR-CAA Licensure and Accreditation of the AUD has been granted every five-year period as a recognition of the AUD’s successful fulfillment of all the eleven standards of MOHESR-CAA.

Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)
The American University in Dubai membership in the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) includes a commitment to continuous quality assurance and enhancement through systematic evaluation of its organizational and academic effectiveness.
 
The SACSCOC accreditation is a reflection of AUD’s persistent pursuit of rigorous standards and excellence in teaching and learning. It is also a testimony of high confidence that has been vested into the AUD to continue its mission as a catalyst for quality education and innovation in Dubai.  Accreditation by SACSCOC signifies that the AUD has an established mission that is supported by sufficient resources, services and programs, and that the university’s goals and objectives have been clearly specified in alignment with its institutional mission and programs, degrees it offers, and the processes to determine success in achieving its stated objectives.
