Marketing Communications Department : Overview
Mission

The Mission of the Marketing Communications Department is to develop and maintain AUD’s image and build brand awareness with all stakeholders in the global marketplace, by integrating the department’s main responsibilities including marketing management, public relations, media relations, and event management, with the mission of the university, while serving the interests of the faculty, staff, students, alumni, the Dubai community and beyond.

Purpose

The Marketing Communications Department works with the academic and administrative departments at AUD, as well as with external bodies, to position the university as a leading institution of higher learning in the Gulf. Specifically, the Department manages AUD’s marketing communications efforts in order to enhance awareness of the university’s academic and extracurricular programs and events as a means of leveraging AUD’s institutional image.

Goals
  • To manage and maintain AUD’s Corporate Image
  • To increase awareness of AUD’s programs (academic and non-academic) and events by liaising with its internal and external communities and cultivating media relationships
  • To attract, organize and host academic, cultural and artistic events that further AUD’s educational mission
  • To identify opportunities for advertising, sponsorships and participations in exhibitions/ conferences for AUD by working with Academic and Administrative Departments to assess and prioritize publicity needs
  • Manage the website to meet AUD’s public relations, marketing, and educational goals
