Dear Parents:

Congratulations on selecting AUD for your child's education!

As parents of AUD students, you are an important part of the AUD community. I heartily encourage you to become enthusiastic supporters and participants in your children's university experience. This is a special time in your lives as your children make the transition from high school to university.  We would like to help make this leap a positive and worthwhile opportunity for you.

I invite you to attend the official Parents' Orientation, which will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2007 from 12:00 – 2.30 pm.   At this orientation, you will have the opportunity to hear from AUD's President, Provost, Deans and Chairs, the Student Services Team, and AUD Alumni.  You will also have the chance to meet other parents who have inquiries similar to your own.  We have designed this orientation to help answer all your questions and concerns. If your son/daughter will be residing in the dormitories, kindly note, that there also will be a Housing Orientation on Saturday, September 1, 2007 from 10.00 am to 12.00pm.  

I encourage you to make this important event a priority and share the new university experience with your son or daughter. 

Again, I am pleased that you will be joining our university community and look forward to meeting both you and your son or daughter during our orientation.
