Upcoming Calendar of Athletics Events Spring 2008:

Intercollegiate Tournaments:

• HESF: Higher Education Sports Federation tournament league for all AUD teams, volleyball, basketball, soccer (both men and women) for the whole spring semester with the participation of many UAE universities
• Dubai Shopping Festival Tournament for women's volleyball from 18th till 22nd of Feb 2008 with the participation of women's Arab teams and locals under the patronage of HH Sheikha Shamsa Hasher Manee Al Maktoum
• The AUD women's basketball team will participate in the UAE women's basketball league organized by the UAE federation for the whole spring term
• The Dubai corporate games will be held at AUD on the 28th and 29th of March 2008

Past Events:

Fall 2007

• Tryouts for the new students for the whole month of September
• Dubai Cares volleyball games for both men and women held at AUD on the 9th of October
• The intramurals soccer league for all AUD students (entire Fall semester)
• The Global intramurals basketball tournament for all AUD students on the 28th of November
• Friendly games with various universities and clubs around the UAE such as: DMC, UOS, UOWD, Emirates airlines, and Sharjah Club
• The AUD men's Fall tournament 2007 held on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of December with the participation of: DMC, UOS, UOWD, Emirates airlines, Lebanese Club and AUD

Summer 2006

AUD teams participated in two tournaments outside the UAE:

• France : Eurocriterium des sciences PO Paris in May
• Turkey : Bogazici University Turkey in June

International tournaments provide AUD students the chance to compete at a high level and enjoy a rich cultural experience by interacting with students from foreign universities.

Fall 2006

• AUD Ramadan Tournament :AUD organized a tournament in men's volleyball and soccer during the holy month of Ramadan with the participation of clubs and companies around UAE such as Lebanese Youth team, Al Wasel Club, AUB Alumni and companies such as: Emirates Airlines, Faisal Jasem, Gulf Commercial, Nakheel, Johnson  and Johnson, DP world and Wings participated.
• AUD women's volleyball team participated in two tournaments in Abu Dhabi
• AUD men's soccer team participated in Sheikh Rashid bin Maktoum Ramadan tournament
• AUD Barbican Sports Festival: Hosted by AUD and in collaboration with Barbican, seven universities around Dubai participated in this event – AUD, Al Ghurair University, Dubai Men's College, University of Wollongong Dubai , Dubai University College , European University , Brussels and Ajman University. The event include sports activities such as soap soccer, trampoline, mountain climbing and competitive sports games such as beach volleyball, men's and women's basketball and men's soccer  were organized for all students. The two-day event ended with a grand concert held on AUD campus.
