The primary purpose of the Division of Student Services is to assist students and service their needs so they are an active, contributing member of the AUD community.
An instrumental aim of American education at all levels is to help students become "well rounded." A true education is the education of the whole person, an education that encompasses intellectual, moral, emotional, social, athletic, and physical dimensions. AUD promotes this approach. The Division of Student Services encourages students to work towards developing your social, artistic, athletic, cultural, emotional, moral, societal and humanistic elements of their lives.
Students can become involved in university life by joining one or more of AUD's student clubs and organizations, playing an intercollegiate, intramural, or club sport, signing up for the Student Government Organization, and /or applying for one of AUD's student leadership programs.
The Dean of Student Services acts as resource for students and helps students solve problems and interpret, clarify and understand university polices and procedures. The Dean also receives and addresses student complaints, suggestions and concern, and guides students through the University grievance process. One of the primary responsibilities of the Dean is to safeguard and represent students'
interests. Students are encouraged to visit the Dean's Office to
discuss issues, ideas, problems or general concerns about the AUD university experience.
The entire staff of Student Services is committed to helping students make their experience at AUD memorable, enriching, and rewarding
