The American University in Dubai is a member of the Institute of International Education. IIE is among the world’s largest and most experienced international exchange organizations. An independent non-profit established in 1919, IIE is dedicated to increasing the capacity of people to think and work on a global basis. The Institute’s vision of “Opening Minds to the World” is based upon the belief that international educational exchange forms the strongest basis for fostering the mutual understanding necessary for worldwide peace and progress.

IIENetwork is IIE’s membership program with over 1,000 member institutions around the world. Each IIENetwork designee is an important link in a network of over 5,000 individuals with a commitment to the internationalization of their institutions.

AUD's External Relations Office is a member of the Association of International Education. NAFSA: Association of International Educators is a member organization promoting international education and providing professional development opportunities to the field. Hundreds of NAFSA members volunteer to serve the Association and thousands advocate for international education.

AUD is a member of the European Association of international Education. The EAIE is a non-profit organization whose main aim is the stimulation and facilitation of the internationalization of higher education in Europe and around the world, and to meet the professional needs of individuals active in international education.

AUD is a President's Club Member of the American Business Coucnil of Dubai and the Northern Emirates. ABC functions under the auspices of Dubai Chamber and functions as the Dubai Chapter of the US Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The ABC represents US business interests in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, while maintaining strong ties with the leadership of the communities in which our members live and work.
