I appreciate your interest in the Information Technology Department at the AUD. There is no doubt that we currently live in a digital world that relies heavily on the transfer of information in a very reliable, constantly available, easily maintainable and scalable, and highly secure fashion. The current growth in the region is dictating a new reality in terms of the need for IT talents that understand the new digital information needs and can work with the latest enterprise system architectures designing, building, deploying, and administering them. The Information Technology Department at the AUD entertains three main concentrations that address all the major aspects of these enterprise level systems.


These concentrations are as follows:

• Application Development for Commerce and Industry
• Database Design, Development, and Operations
• Network Infrastructures Design and Operations

The above concentrations allow students to specialize in the area that fits their interests the most. As a result, we provide graduates the ability to start a successful focused career with the necessary knowledge and tools. Yet, they start these careers with a solid base that allows them to grow with the technology not just with a particular tool. In addition, recognizing that it is part of our mission to prepare our students for quality jobs in this region, we require our students to obtain a concentrated set of business knowledge through a carefully selected set of business classes. All this is provided in a very relaxed and highly diverse environment. In addition, being within a walking distance from the Dubai Internet City and Dubai Knowledge Village , we are located in the center of all major IT activity, not only in Dubai but in the entire region.
