Dr. Khawaja holds a B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. from Purdue University in Computer and Electrical Engineering. His research interest is in the area of software development and enterprise computing technologies with current emphasis on training management software.

Dr. Khawaja joined the AUD from DigiLore Knowledge on Demand Inc., a US based software company. As VP of Product Development, he directed and led the architecture, technology vision, and release of the DigiLore line of products. Prior to that, he was at InfiniteTiers Advanced Software Technologies where he was a Solutions Architect and project manager. While there he successfully led the architecture, construction and deployment of various mission-critical enterprise-level J2EE and .Net systems to fortune 500 companies. His experience also includes his time as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati in the Information and Technology Department, a Senior Integration Engineer at EDS-PLM Integration Services, and a Senior Software Engineer for SDRC.

He is a member of the Eta Kappa Nu Honor Society, IEEE Computer Society and the ACM.
