The AUD School of Engineering, in collaboration with the Information Technology Department, organized the first AUD Engineering and Technology Fair. The event was attended by more than 60 high school students from around Dubai. Students competed with designs of gadgets such as a catapult, a vending machine, and a burglar alarm. In addition, on-site activties included competitions for the tallest paper tower, the most efficient paper airplane, the best egg protection meechanism, and other events. An outdoor lunch and an award ceremony followed the event. This event is intended to promote engineering and technology among high school students, and will be organized on an annual basis by the AUD School of Engineering.
