Professor Bahrami has over twenty years experience in Information Technology as a consultant and a manager. Her most recent experience, from 1998 through 2004, was with America Online, Inc. (AOL), the largest internet company in the world at the time, located in the suburb of Washington , DC . Professor Bahrami managed people as well as high profile projects for AOL. She earned a prestigious award for playing a pivotal role in leading the efforts for making the AOL service accessible to the disabled.
Prior to AUD, Professor Bahrami taught at the University of Phoenix 's MBA program in their Northern Virginia seated campus. She also taught at the Mount Olive College 's Tillman School of Business, where her teaching activities spanned over multiple programs at the School of Business . She also served on the Institutional Review Board where, along with other board members, she reviewed and assessed for approval research proposals involving human subjects for conformity to Federal mandates.
She is interested in research on employee demoralization due to poor management interaction. In addition, she plans to start research in the area of Cybernetics in collaboration with her former professors from George Washington University.
