After receiving his doctorate, Professor Abouzeid worked for five-years as an operational manager for a pharmaceutical distribution company. He then moved to Dubai and joined academia. In addition to being active in management consultancy throughout the GCC, with a focus on business process improvement and applying Six Sigma (in which he possess a green belt, and is currently pursuing his black belt). His consultancy experience has helped him tremendously in integrating real-world problems into his classroom objectives. Professor Abouzeid teaches in the area of decision sciences, and has interest in computer based simulations and their applications to corporate decision making. He is also interested in business process automation and learning the Chinese language. |
