The Marketing and Marketing Communications programs prepare students for the fast-pace and exciting fields of marketing and marketing communications. Student may choose to concentrate in one or both of these areas. Each program aims to develop and foster ethical, creative, and strategic-thinking marketing professionals.
The Marketing concentration focuses on providing students with a solid understanding of the processes by which customers are both acquired and retained by companies. Marketing majors develop a keen sense of those factors which determine consumer needs. They study the effect of high-valued products and services on satisfying those needs, and the most effective methods of arranging for their distribution to consumers. Students with broad interpersonal and communications skills, those who value logic and creativity, as well as the entrepreneurial types, consider marketing to be the venue in which those interests may be pursued. For those students with an interest in the strategic aspects of marketing, the Marketing Communications concentration may be best suited for you.
The Marketing Communications program at AUD is accredited by the US based International Advertising Association (IAA). Unlike traditional advertising, Marketing Communications focuses on brand development through the employment of a complex array of strategies that involve data-driven communications, sales promotion, public relations, direct response marketing, event sponsorship, personal selling, as well as mass and two-way media. Student majoring in this field obtain a real-world glimpse into the realm of Marketing Communications, even before they graduate, through our well-structured compulsory internships. Upon successful completion their degrees, students are well prepared for graduate studies and/or exciting careers in Business-to-Consumer and Business-to-Business brand management. Moreover, students who complete the BBA degree requirements and pass a comprehensive examination, receive an IAA Diploma in Marketing Communications upon graduation. This internationally recognized diploma, acknowledges that the student's undergraduate program satisfies the stringent requirements of the IAA. |
