Chafik Abid

Prior to joining AUD, Professor Abid served as an assistant professor at Moncton University in Canada . In addition to his teaching experience at Moncton , Professor has taught and supervised students at Laval University and François-Xavier Garneau College .

Professor Abid is actively involved in inter-firm training, especially in North America . He provides consultation on issues which assist firms in solving their industrial engineering problems. His expertise focuses on developing strategies which assist executives and managers, in jointly solving their industrial problems. In addition to his consulting activities, Dr. Abid is actively involved in research. His most recent research activity was jointly funded by Prévost Car Company (from Volvo Group), Modellium Inc. and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada. He has been a reviewer for several scholar journals and has served as the session chair of several international conferences. Professor Abid's research interests are in decision support systems, operations and production management, and logistics and supply chain management. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals including the International Journal of Production Research.
