Prior to his arrival at AUD, Professor Schwittay was a lecturer in Strategy at Manchester Business School in the UK , where he taught within the MBA curriculum, as well as various executive programs. Professor Schwittay has held the position of Visiting Fellow at Harvard University . Prior to entering academia Professor Schwittay worked for multinational companies (DIAGEO and WIV Int.) as a Sales and Marketing manager in the UK , Japan and Germany . He has continued his work as a consultant for several UK and German firms. His major research interests are in the fields of internationalization/globalization of companies, and in assessing the competitive advantage of nations and city states.
