Professor Abu Ali has vast work experience as a professional economist. He was in charge of the business environment, within the corporate planning division of Qatar Petroleum. He has conducted econometric forecast of oil pricing, and has served as a delegate to the WTO, OPEC and UNCTAD. Professor Abu Ali's research interest include, but are not limited to: investigating the structure of industrial finance, estimating financial performance, conducting stock market risk analysis, and analyzing those factors which affect foreign direct investment in merging market economies.
Professor Abu Ali has authored several academic and policy papers, and has served as a consultant for several international organizations, to include the World Bank. In 2000, he was a recipient of the Morgan Stanley Outstanding Performance Award. |
