The Engineering Student Association (ESA) at The American University in Dubai invited 40 orphans from Dar Zayed, Al Ain to enjoy a day full of activities and entertainment on Saturday, January 26, 2008. Starting at 10:30 AM, boys and girls enjoyed competitions like tug of war, know your number, musical chairs and much more. All the children were sent off with lots of gifts to remember the ESA by for some time to come.
About 20 members of the ESA participated in the event. “I have said it a million times but [they] deserve it a million times”, said Ali Said Jamaleddine, President of the ESA, who coordinated the successful event, “[the active members of the ESA] really know how to work hard!”
