The Student Government Association announced its new team of officers for the 2007-08 academic year on Thursday, October 25th. Students, faculty and staff were invited to attend and witness the officers as they took their oaths before the President of the American University in Dubai , Dr. Lance de Masi.

With thirty guests seated outdoors behind the auditorium, the ceremony highlighted the aspirations of the new SGA team, as well as the support and collaboration they can expect from the AUD community. In the comments offered by Dr. Lance de Masi, Nancy Fahim, the SGA President elect and Marrakech Arbuckle Saoud, the Student Activities Coordinator, the resounding sentiment was on hopes for a year of accomplishments and increased enthusiasm among the Student Body for the work of the SGA. This year's team consists of: Nancy Fahim- President; Alia Saleh- Vice President; Abhilash Raj- Treasurer/Secretary; and Aisha Abbasi- Media Officer.

Among the attendees was AUD's Provost and Chief Academic Officer, Dr. Jihad Nader.
