The Information Technology (IT) Department at the American University in Dubai (AUD) hosted a workshop jointly with BEA titled: “BPM + ESB: Discover the Secret to Agile Business Processes”. The event, which was attended by a large number of instructors and IT professionals, discussed the profound effect that Business Process Modeling and Enterprise Service Bus technologies can have to dramatically improve IT alignment with business priorities and deliver greater value to the business organization.

Dr. Khalid Khawaja, Chair of IT Department at AUD, commented on the workshop: “The technical community in Dubai is hungry for users' group type meetings where technical details about a particular topic are discussed. We are pleased to have this collaboration with BEA to bring about this workshop. AUD always recognizes the importance of hosting such workshops in order to actively engage with the IT industry .”

The workshop explained the various benefits of IT and addressed the results of customer projects including the benefits of Business Process Management, the role of Enterprise Service Bus delivery of manageability and control, and the delivery of business integration. The presenters also explained the function of BEA AquaLogic BPM Suite and BEA AquaLogic Bus Service.
