50 students from The American University in Dubai (AUD) joined the Golden Key International Honour Society in a ceremony attended by the following honorary guests: Dr. Jihad Nader, AUD Provost, Ms. Marrakech Arbuckle, Student Activities Coordinator at AUD and Ms. Anne Jafery, Managing Director of Ink. FZ LLC and Publisher, Liberty Magazine.

The society, which recognizes top achievers among junior and senior university students, provides its members with the campus and community services which allow its members personal growth and leadership development. Established in 1977 in the United States, Golden Key offers its members exclusive assistance and career services opportunities through its collaboration with major corporations around the world.

“ As a Golden Key member myself, I was proud to take over the role of faculty advisor for the AUD chapter.  These students have worked very hard, and deserve to be recognized for their achievements,” noted Jillian Schedneck , Assistant Professor of English at AUD and faculty advisor for the Golden Key International Society. “ Our keynote speaker for the induction ceremony, Anne Jafery, gave a poignant speech on finding personal satisfaction in life after university. Everyone in attendance really enjoyed it.”

Today, Golden Key has more than 350 chapters worldwide with AUD's chapter being the only chapter in the region. Other countries include: Australia , Canada , Malaysia , New Zealand , South Africa , and the United States .
