Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders visits AUDTo provide its students with the opportunity to interact with potential employers, and gain better knowledge of the marketplace that awaits them upon graduation, the American University in Dubai (AUD) constantly hosts speakers and recruiters from top leading companies in the UAE. Students and employers alike are known to benefit from these events that bring to light various training and work-related opportunities.

Mr. Saer Imad, Fund Manager, Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders, visited AUD and presented the establishment's continued support of the entrepreneurial spirit, and its role in the economy. He explained to the students the importance of balanced and informed risk-taking, and the dedication and perseverance necessary to reach one's goals.

Mr. Imad's presentation covered a wide range of issues related to entrepreneurship, such as What is an Entrepreneur, Advantages and Disadvantages of Entrepreneurship, Characteristic of an Entrepreneur, Entrepreneurs' Contribution, Common Mistakes and finally Success Businesses.

During his visit, Mr. Imad commented, “It is a pleasure for me to be a guest speaker at one of the best universities in the region. Entrepreneurialism is becoming one of the hottest issues in the business world today specially that the leaders of this country realize its importance and the impact it has on the economy. We, at Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders, were the first in fostering the development of entrepreneurship, encouraging and supporting UAE nationals to facilitate the establishment of small & medium enterprises.”

He concluded his presentation by giving examples of projects that were funded by Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders. One of which was Freej Cartoon, created by UAE talents which first aired during the Holy Month of Ramadan last year, and is currently running its second season this year.

At the end of the session students were then given the opportunity to ask questions to enhance their understanding about the role played by this establishment.

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders was launched on June 12, 2002 as the first initiative of the Dubai Development and Investment Authority. The vision of the Establishment is to nurture the domestic entrepreneurial spirit in Dubai and catalyze the development and growth of a key sector of the economy, the Small and Medium Business sector.
