His Excellency Dr. Hanif Hassan, Minister of Education, officially opened the Office Exhibition at the Dubai International Exhibition Center. His Excellency visited the AUD Interior Design stand at the show and spent sometime looking at students' 30 competition entries and provided the eight finalists with positive feedback on how to move forward in their careers and wished them luck for the live competition.

Students from The American University in Dubai (AUD) participated in the competition, which is organized by The Total Office, DMG and Frezza Spa. The participants are required to design highly creative office workstations according to the feedback they receive from the faculty members (phase one of the competition). Winners of phase one will continue developing their concepts live (phase two of the competition) during the period of the show according to the feedback of CEO of Frezza and other members of the same group.

Currently, eight Interior Design students from AUD have their individual workstations at the show developing their ideas further in order to win a 5 day trip to Venice and Milan this April. During this trip, students will visit the Milan Furniture Show (world renowned show), the Architecture and Design department at the oldest university in Venice, meet the owners, the designers and the marketing team of Frezza and visit the factory. Frezza is one of the oldest high-end office furniture producers in the world (based in Italy).
