| The American University in Dubai and Bocconi University (Milan-Italy) have signed a Student Exchange Program that provides undergraduate students from both universities, the opportunity to broaden their cultural horizons and to discover new learning environments and methods.
AUD Students accepted for exchange at Bocconi will be enrolled as full-time students, and will attend classes during one full academic semester. These students may enroll in all courses offered by Bocconi, subject to the university's regulations and policies. * The Faculty will endeavor to reserve a certain number of seats for exchange students for courses with limited enrollment.
Any academic credit that the student receives from Bocconi will be transferred to AUD provided that the selected courses and the program of studies have received prior approval by the appropriate academic advisors at AUD.
L´Università Commerciale "Luigi Bocconi", established in 1902, is the first Italian institution of higher education to grant a degree in Economics.

To Apply :
- Junior and Senior AUD students * who have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and above, and who are interested in such an opportunity, are encouraged to send their application, along with the AUD course Authorization Form, Grade Transcript, and a passport copy, to Mrs Peggy Awad , External Affairs Coordinator (tel:04 3183 138)
- Upon verification of documents, AUD's External Affairs Office will forward selected applications to the International Relations Office at Bocconi University .
- Bocconi will inform AUD's External Affairs Office of the approved applications.
- Bocconi will issue the appropriate documents for visa purposes in accordance with current laws, although it is the responsibility of individual student(s) to obtain a visa in a timely manner
- The participating students shall directly pay AUD all normal tuition and fees in accordance with AUD's policies.
- The participating students have to provide for their own room, board, books, transportation, student health insurance fees and medical care, passports, visas and personal expenses. Bocconi will assume responsibility for facilitating housing. (Please check with the Office of External affairs for more details)
- Upon completion of an academic semester at Bocconi, the participating students must return to AUD. No extension of stay shall be authorized.
* AUD regulations stipulate that
- Students must take their last remaining 30 credits at AUD to be awarded an AUD degree
- Only 2 concentration courses (per major) can be taken outside of AUD. This includes those courses transferred to AUD at the time of admission.
- Some courses such as capstone, senior projects, portfolios, internships, study tours and other specialized courses cannot be taken outside of AUD
