The Institutional Effectiveness process allows The American University in Dubai to document efforts in setting goals, measuring attainment of those goals, and using the results to make changes to continually improve student learning and institutional services. Through this process, the university is committed to effective planning in support of its mission. In addition to this self-improvement purpose, the IE process is used in response to external requests for accountability.
