Ms. Shroff has over 16 years of experience in the worlds of education and
business, including extensive experience in international and corporate environments. Ms. Shroff’s work has focused on
operational excellence as well as corporate training and organizational development. Her areas of expertise include
Project and Financial Management, Training, Organizational Development, Strategic Planning, Quality Enhancement, and
Diversity Issues. Sajida knows several languages including French, Spanish, Arabic, Gujarati, Hindi, Urdu, and Swahili.
Ms. Shroff is the Director of Institutional Effectiveness at the American
University in Dubai where her work entails institutional strategic planning and quality assessment. Her work has been
commended by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) in the USA and the UAE Ministry of Higher
Education (MOHE). Additionally, Ms. Shroff is the senior consultant and principal for EdWorx - an educational consulting
practice that works with government, corporate and non-profit entities.
Ms. Shroff also serves as the AUD Grievance Officer. In this voluntary capacity,
Ms. Shroff facilitates the AUD Grievance Process for faculty, staff and students.
Ms. Shroff has served as head of school and has also managed schools. She was a
formative member of an educational leadership group that focused on the concerns that educational leaders face.
Furthermore, she has significant training skills, and considerable knowledge of
property development and management. She has worked within the private and public sectors globally.
Her unique perspective developed as a result of professional experiences in Asia,
East and North Africa, the UK, Europe, North America, and the Middle East. As a result, Ms. Shroff is committed to
developing and enhancing educational environments so they can have a positive impact on students, staff, and faculty.
Ms. Shroff is dedicated to organizational development and institutional effectiveness through the empowerment and engagement
of the parties involved.
Ms. Shroff is also very committed to community service and has served on diverse
community development organizations. She has been a volunteer with the Aga Khan Development Network for over 18 years with
responsibilities including media and outreach coordination. She also served on the President’s Commission on the Status of
Women at Emory University. She currently serves as the Deputy National Communications Coordinator for the Ismaili Council
for the USA as well as the Associate Editor of the Ismaili USA Magazine. Furthermore she is a regional interviewer for
students applying to Harvard University from the Middle East.
Ms. Shroff was raised in Kenya, the UK, and Canada. Her parents and brother reside in
Vancouver, Canada.
