- Admission Survey is filled out by all potential students applying to AUD. This is a survey designed to check the strengths and weaknesses of the Admissions Department, as well as indicate what programs we do not offer. It also provides insight into the cultural diversity of the student body.
- Alumni Survey collects information from the alumni about their level of satisfaction with their program and about their career path. Alumni surveys typically ask questions regarding whether the program provided the skills and abilities needed to succeed in the marketplace or in graduate school, whether the first job was related to their major, and the level of their starting salary. Data collected from alumni survey are used to improve the programs and services provided by the institution. Please note that this survey assesses the perception of learning but does not provide evidence that the actual learning occurred. This survey is conducted annually in the spring.
- Completion Survey measures the student’s perception on whether the program and the institution’s outcomes have been achieved. This instrument is analyzed and distributed to all departments, academic and administrative, in order for them to review and utilize the results for change. This survey is administered online as part of the graduation process. The completion survey is administered to all graduating students to assess their level of satisfaction with the instruction during their academic life and whether or not they perceive that they have achieved the learning outcomes of the program or concentration. Please note that this survey assesses the perception of learning but does not provide evidence that the actual learning occurred. The survey is open during the academic year, from September to August, in order to facilitate data collection and accommodate students graduating at different times during the academic year.
- Course Evaluation Surveys are administered for every course, every semester and are designed to evaluate instruction, the instructor and course design. These evaluations are administered online at the end of every semester.
- Employer Survey collects data from employers concerning the preparation of the institution’s graduates. The data collected provide information about the knowledge, skills, and abilities that employers find important for the graduates to have. The survey can also be used to gather comparison data with other institutions in the UAE where employers recruit graduates. This survey is conducted annually in the spring.
- Operations Satisfaction Survey for Students measures the student’s perception about the effectiveness of the administrative departments’ operations and the level overall satisfaction with the student’s experience at AUD. Results are provided to each department before the end of the assessment cycle so their results can be used as indirect assessment of the department’s outcomes.
- Operations Satisfaction Survey for Faculty and Staff Departmental measure the faculty and staff’s perception about the effectiveness of the administrative departments’ operations: The survey is administered once a year in the Fall. Results of these surveys are provided to each department in a timely fashion so their results can be use as indirect assessment of the department’s outcomes.
- Orientation Surveys: (General Student Orientation, General Parent Orientation, Departmental Student Orientation, Student Dorm Orientation, Parent Dorm Orientation and New Faculty Orientation) are conducted at Fall and Spring orientations. Results of the survey are used to improve future orientation sessions and to assess the departments that are involved in the orientation.
- Residential Student Satisfaction Survey is administered during the Fall and Spring Semesters to assess aspects of dorm life. These surveys are followed by a Dorm Forum to discuss the concerns, if any.
- Transfer/Drop Survey is administered to students who state they are transferring to other institutions or dropping out of AUD for other reasons, designed to assess why they are leaving the University.
- Work Climate Surveys for Faculty and Staff are administered annually in the Spring. Results of these surveys are communicated to the senior leadership and are taken into consideration for strategic planning purposes.
